广东建设职业技术学院是经广东省人民政府批准的全日制的高等院校。属大学专科层次,隶属广东省教育厅管理,主要培养适应建筑业和社会经济发展需求的生产、建设、管理、服务第一线需求的高等技术应用性专门人才。
学院占地面积为21万多m2,建筑面积9万多m2,馆藏图书近20万册,教学设备2250万元,校内实验实训室50多个,校外实训基地60多个。
学院2007年全日制在校生4300多人,招生范围遍及广东全省和其它13个省区。形成了高职教育、技工教育、职业技能培训、继续教育、中外合作办学等多层次、多形式并举的办学格局。
学院立足建筑业,面向社会,服务基层,以就业为导向,以培养应用能力为主线,以产学研为途径,探索并形成了独具特色的“依托行业、工学结合”人才培养模式。专业设置紧贴市场需求,设置科学合理。现开设19个专业,构建了“以建筑类专业为主,信息、机电、环境等工科专业、财经、艺术设计类专业协调发展”的专业体系。
学院建有稳定的校内外实训基地,与省内外特别是珠三角等地区60多家企业建立了相关专业校外实训基地,
为学生深入生产一线现场实训提供了便利条件。学院建筑技术实训项目被确定为“中央财政支持的职业教育实训基地建设项目”和“省级高职高专教育实训基地”。
学院拥有一支具有较高学术水平和丰富实践经验的“双师型”师资队伍。 现有专任教师200多人,高职称教师占专任教师的25%以上,具有研究生学历或硕士以上学位的占专任教师总数的25%以上,具有“双师”素质教师占60%以上。拥有一支具有专业经验的实习实训指导教师队伍,聘请建设行业内的教授、高级工程师、能工巧匠为专业顾问委员会委员和客座教授,建设了一支专业水平高、专业技能强的兼职教师队伍。
学院设有广东省建筑业职业技能鉴定站、广东省建筑业培训中心、高技能人才实训基地、广东省再就业培训定点机构、广东省特种作业人员安全技术培训定点单位,可以对建筑行业30多个工种初、中、高、技师等级进行培训和鉴定,为学生考取“双证”(毕业证书、职业资格证书)提供了良好的条件。学生获取“双证”率达到100%以上,增强了学生的社会竞争力。由于学生具有扎实的专业基础和较强的实践动手能力,深受社会及用人单位的好评,近年来毕业生一次就业率均在90%以上。
学院重视学生的素质教育,注意培养学生的创新思维和实践能力,促使德智体美劳多方面协调发展。各种类型的学生社团为学生搭建一个个彰显个性的平台,营造了一个文明高雅、积极向上的校园文化环境,形成了优良的校风、学风。。
“十一五”期间,学院明确了“发展要务、优化管理、科研引领、做大做强、外抓发展、内促稳定”的工作思路,提出了抓好“班子建设工程、人才建设工程、素质教育工程、固本强基工程、科技兴校工程”五大工程的工作任务,确立了将学院打造成为“人才培养基地、行业培训基地、教学科研基地”
三大基地的发展目标。
The
Brief Introduction to the Institute
Guangdong Construction Vocational Technology
Institute, a higher vocational institute, is a
full-time institute approved by People's Government
of Guangdong Province. It mainly endeavors to
foster practical and creative senior technicians who
will fit in with the needs of the front-line
production, management, service and the development
of the social economy.
The Institute covers a total area of more than
210,000㎡ and
construction area of more than 90,000㎡.
There is a collection of nearly 200,000 books in the
library, more than 50 in-campus labs and more than 60
out-campus practical training bases respectively.
The teaching equipment is worth ¥22,500,000.
There are nearly 4300 full-time students in our
institute in 2007.The enrollment covers Guangdong
province and other 13 provinces. We have different
ways of running schools, such as higher vocational
education, skilled worker’s education, vocational
skills training, continuing education, and
Sino-foreign jointly-run education.
Basing itself on the construction industry,
meeting the social needs, serving the basic units,
according to the needs of the job market, the
Institute aims at fostering the students’ practical
abilities by combining teaching, scientific research
with production, and has explored and set up a
special personnel cultivation mode—“ Depending on
the industry, combining teaching with practice.” And
the courses are scientifically set according to the
job market demands. Now the Institute has built a
harmonious system with 19 specialties, which is
based on the specialties in Building Engineering, as
well as specialties in information, machinery and
electricity, environment, engineering, finance &
economics and art-designing, etc.
The Institute has stable practical training bases
and has set up many out-campus training bases with
more than 60 enterprises related to relevant
specialties, inside and outside the province,
especially in PRD, which provide the good conditions
for the students to receive practical training at
worksites. The project, The Practical Training of
Building Technology, has been set as “the provincial
higher vocational education practical training base”
and “the vocational education training project
financed by the central government”.
The Institute has a team of teachers with higher
professional level and rich experience with double
qualifications. There are more than 200 full-time
teachers, over 25% of whom have senior titles, more
than 25% have master degrees or diplomas and 60%
have double qualifications. There are also many
practical supervising teachers and guest professors,
senior engineers and skillful craftsmen with high
professional level skills employed from different
industries and a part-time teaching team composed of
guest professors, senior engineers and senior-titled
teachers, who are also the members of professional
consultative committee of the Institute.
The Institute has some service departments approved
by the government, such as Guangdong Construction
Occupational Skill Testing Service, Guangdong
Construction Industry Training Center, High-skilled
Personnel Training Base, Designated Institution of
Guangdong Reemployment Training and
Designated Unit of Guangdong Security Training for
Specialized Technical Personnel. All these
departments can provide training for the workers
from more than 30 different types of work in the
industry and help them to get junior, intermediate,
senior certificates, and the students to get double
certificates (diploma and professional qualification
certificate). After being trained, 100% of students
can obtain double certificates, which can strengthen
their abilities against bitter job-seeking
competitions in the society. Therefore, the students
with solid professional foundation and high
practical skills are well popular among the society
and working units. In recent years, the one-time
employment rate in our institute has reached more
than 90%.
The Institute has attached great importance to the
students’ quality education, the cultivation of
their creative thinking and practical abilities and
the harmonious development of their morality,
intelligence, physical culture, art education and
labor. All kinds of students’ associations have put
up a platform for the students to show their
personalities, creating a civilized and positive
campus cultural atmosphere and forming good school
spirit and study style.
During the period of the “ the 11th -
Five-Year Plan ”, the Institute has made clear the
following working thoughts: developing important
businesses, optimizing management, paying more
attention to scientific research, making it better
and competitive, seizing the external development
opportunities and promoting internal stability.
Meanwhile it has put forward the following five
tasks: leadership consummation, quality education,
taking in talents, consolidating the foundation and
developing the institute scientifically, and
established its goals to build the institute into
the following three bases: skilled worker training
base, the building industry training base, teaching
and science research base.
